Punjabi actress Tania’s father shot in Moga, condition remains grave

A tragic incident unfolded in Punjab as Anil Jit Singh Kamboj, the father of renowned Punjabi actress Tania, was critically injured after being shot at his clinic in Kot Ise Khan, a town in the Moga district.

The attack occurred on Friday afternoon when two unidentified men arrived at the Harbans Nursing Home, where Dr. Kamboj was attending to patients.

It is being said that the assailants came on a motorcycle and entered the clinic pretending to be patients. After briefly interacting with Dr. Kamboj, they suddenly opened fire at close range. He was struck by two bullets and was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Moga, where he remains in a critical condition and is currently fighting for his life.

Police sources have indicated that Dr. Kamboj had allegedly been receiving threats before the attack, though no official complaint had been filed.

As of now, actress Tania has not issued a public statement regarding the incident. Tania gained widespread recognition for her performance in the 2018 Punjabi film Qismat, and has since appeared in several successful Punjabi films such as Guddiyan Patole, Rabb Da Radio 2, Sufna, Bajre Da Sitta, and Oye Makhna.
