Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney gave the green light to cut income taxes for 22 million Canadians from July 1 at the first cabinet meeting yesterday. This bill related to the middle class will be passed by the government first when the parliament session begins.
The Prime Minister has ordered the minister to prepare a bill in this regard while signing an instruction note. The government is to reduce the lowest personal income tax rate from 15 to 14 percent, which will save Canadian families up to $840 per year.
Finance Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne said that this is our very clear message to Canadians that Prime Minister Carney is quickly fulfilling what he promised them. He expressed hope that the opposition parties will support the bill.
