Prime Minister Mark Carney and Chinese Premier Li Qiang have agreed to regularize channels of communication between the two countries. A readout from Carney's office also says the leaders committed to working together to address the fentanyl crisis.

Two Canadians among seven men arrested in Australia over massive drugs bust
Investigative agencies in Australia have arrested 7 people, including two Canadians, in a drug trafficking case. It is alleged that the gang was using trusted people in Australia to help in the smuggling of drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine.

213 prisoners escape from Malir Jail in Karachi, Pakistan
At least 213 prisoners escaped from Malir Jail in Karachi, Pakistan on Monday night. According to the jail administration, the prisoners were evacuated from the barracks as a precaution after the earthquake tremors in Karachi.
