35 people deported from Canada in extortion investigations, Surrey extortion numbers continue to decline
CBSA says, as of March 12, 2026, the CBSA has opened 372 immigration investigations, 70 removal orders have been issued for various inadmissibility grounds, and 35 removals have been enforced. Surrey's extortion related files have shown a declining trend since the beginning of February. SPS Inspector Jag Khosa explains the situation in conversation with News Director Pervez Sandhu.
