Shehnaaz Gill has once again captured the spotlight, this time with a powerful first glimpse of her upcoming film Ishqnama. The Punjabi star sent fans into a frenzy after dropping the film’s initial poster on social media, hinting at an emotionally charged love story set against the sensitive backdrop of India and Pakistan.
The striking visual introduces audiences to a world shaped by passion and conflict. In one poster, Shehnaaz is seen holding a bloodied and injured Jayy Randhawa close, her face reflecting heartbreak, strength and unwavering love. The image paints a haunting picture of romance tested by violence and divided borders — a love story wounded, yet unbroken.
Sharing the posters, Shehnaaz wrote, “First picture from my upcoming movie… 💙 ‘ISHQNAMA’ True Story of True Lovers NIMMA-NASIMA. Releasing 24th July 2026 in cinemas worldwide.” The announcement quickly ignited excitement among her followers, with many praising the intensity and cinematic scale teased in the visuals.
The reveal comes during a transformative phase in Shehnaaz’s career. In 2025, she stepped into production with Ikk Kudi under her banner, Shehnaaz Gill Production. The Punjabi film turned out to be a commercial success, marking her evolution from actor to producer and storyteller. Prior to that, she had already won hearts with the 2021 hit Honsla Rakh, cementing her place as one of Punjabi cinema’s most bankable faces.
