7 districts affected due to rain and continuous release of water from dams in Punjab

7 districts in Punjab are facing floods due to rain and continuous release of water from dams. On Wednesday evening, the flood gate of Madhopur Headworks in Pathankot broke due to the increase in the water level of the Ravi river. 50 people were trapped here and the help of an army helicopter was taken to rescue them.
There is also news of a missing employee of the headworks. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann's native village Satoj in Sangrur is also under water. The Chief Minister also visited the flood-affected villages of Pathankot and Gurdaspur today. Control rooms have been set up in all 23 districts of the state.
