AAP MLA from Khadoor Sahib Manjinder Singh Lalpura convicted in 12-year-old case

In Punjab, 12 people, including Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Khadoor Sahib Manjinder Singh Lalpura, have been convicted in a case of beating and molesting a woman 12 years ago.
The district court of Tarn Taran, while hearing the case on Wednesday, said that the convicts will be sentenced on September 12. The police have arrested 7 people, including the MLA, who have been sent to Goindwal Sahib jail by the court. Six policemen are also among the accused, but one policeman has died during the court proceedings.
The case dates back to March 3, 2013, when the victim was openly beaten up and even her clothes were torn in a palace located on Goindwal Sahib Road in Tarn Taran.
