At least 24 people were killed in an explosion at a terrorist compound in the Tirah Valley of Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, according to reports. The blast took place in a bomb-making factory run by Pakistani Taliban fighters.

A local police official said at least 14 militants and about 10 civilians, including women and children, were killed in the blast.

He said Pakistani Taliban commanders were living in the compound and were using it as a bomb-making factory. Since it was close to civilian residences, many houses were destroyed in the blast.
