Burnaby RCMP are asking for the public’s help to identify three people believed to be involved in a package theft at a South Burnaby home earlier this month.

Police say the incident happened just before noon on December 1, when a dark-coloured SUV stopped outside a residence. Investigators allege a male suspect briefly exited the vehicle before two female suspects approached the front door and removed multiple delivered packages, placing them in the back of the SUV before driving away.

Mounties say package thefts typically increase during the holiday season, with residents across Burnaby and the wider Lower Mainland reporting stolen deliveries. Police are reminding residents to consider secure delivery options, such as holding parcels at pickup locations or using security cameras and motion alerts.

“These suspects are definitely on Santa’s Naughty List,” said Cpl. Mike Kalanj of Burnaby RCMP. He said officers are encouraging the public to review and share surveillance images and video in hopes of identifying those involved. “There are numerous victims of this type of crime all over the Lower Mainland and province, especially this time of year.”

The male suspect is described as wearing a black jacket with a large logo on the back, blue jeans, a brown and beige baseball cap, dark sunglasses, and white running shoes. One female suspect is described as having dark hair and wearing a black hooded jacket, a black shirt with a colourful design, blue jeans, and black boots. The second female suspect is described as having bright pink hair and wearing a black jacket with white sleeves, a black hood, a dark crop top, black pants, and beige and white footwear.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects or has information related to the incident is asked to contact Burnaby RCMP. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
