India removes another official from Pakistani High Commission

The Shahbaz government of Pakistan has dismissed an Indian staffer posted at the Indian High Commission in Islamabad in response to India's action. The previous day, India had dismissed a Pakistani official working at the Pakistani High Commission on charges of espionage.
This was the second case of dismissal by India in the Pakistani High Commission in the past one week. Earlier, India had dismissed a Pakistani official on May 13 for involvement in espionage activities.
At the same time, in response to this, the Pakistan Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it has asked an official of the Indian High Commission in Islamabad to leave Pakistan within 24 hours. It is noteworthy that tension has been rising between India and Pakistan after the terror attack in Pahalgam.
