The Cabinet meeting chaired by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann has approved the prosecution of a corruption case against former Punjab Cabinet Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot. This case was registered by the Vigilance Bureau in June 2022.
The Punjab Cabinet today recommended to the Governor for approval to prosecute further action in this matter.
Apart from this, the Cabinet has decided to set up a special court in Mohali to dispose of cases in various courts where NIA is running in Punjab. Where NIA cases will be disposed of by the Sessions Judge and Additional Sessions Judge.
Along with this, the Punjab Cabinet has also given approval to recover from those who encroach on the trails and hollows of the Rural Development Department. For this, the price will be fixed by a committee under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner.
