Authorities in Ludhiana have begun a detailed investigation after two separate extortion incidents surfaced in Ludhiana , sending shockwaves through the business and entertainment circles.
In one complaint, Harvinder Singh Hardy, who manages Punjabi singer Parmish Verma, reported receiving threatening calls demanding an enormous ransom. According to police records, the caller allegedly sought ₹10 crore and claimed links to the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. A case has been filed against unknown individuals at the Sarabha Nagar police station.
Hardy, a resident of Bhai Randhir Singh Nagar, told investigators that since mid-February he had been getting repeated WhatsApp calls from international numbers. The callers warned of severe consequences if the money was not paid.
The name of Goldy Brar has surfaced in multiple high-profile cases in recent years. He is accused of orchestrating the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and Dera Sacha Sauda follower Pardeep Singh, and of issuing threats to Bollywood actor Salman Khan. He has also featured on Canada’s list of its most-wanted fugitives.
