Kejriwal and CM Mann to Hold Rally in Ludhiana on March 18
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will hold a rally in Ludhiana on March 18. During the rally, both leaders will also visit the Civil Hospital, where they will inaugurate modern healthcare facilities.
Ahead of the upcoming by-election for the Ludhiana West seat, the AAP has already begun its preparations, although the Election Commission has yet to announce the election date.
The party has fielded Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora as its candidate for the seat, which became vacant following the death of AAP MLA Gurpreet Gogi.

Rouse Avenue Court Orders FIR Against Kejriwal Over Misuse of Government Funds
Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has directed the registration of an FIR against former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in a case involving the misuse of government funds. Kejriwal is accused of misappropriating public money by putting up large hoardings for campaigning. The court has also instructed the police to submit a status report by March 18.

SIT Summons Bikram Singh Majithia Again in Drug Racket Case
The Punjab Police has issued a summons to Akali leader Bikram Singh Majithia, requesting him to appear for questioning on March 17 as part of the ongoing investigation into a drug smuggling case filed in December 2021.
Majithia has been summoned to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) led by DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar in Patiala. He will be questioned in connection with the multi-crore drugs case.

Mohali CBI Court Sentences Two Former Policemen in 33-Year-Old Fake Encounter Case
A Mohali CBI court has sentenced two former policemen involved in a 33-year-old fake encounter case of the Punjab Police. The then SHO, Sita Ram, posted in Patti, Tarn Taran, and then constable Raj Pal were accused of killing two youths from the same district, Gurdev Singh and Sukhwant Singh, in a staged police encounter.
On Thursday, a special CBI court sentenced retired SHO Sita Ram to life imprisonment, while constable Raj Pal was sentenced to 5 years in prison and fined Rs 50,000. Sita Ram is currently around 80 years old.

Farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal, who is on a hunger strike at the Khanauri border between Punjab and Haryana, has seen his health deteriorate once again. Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, who recently stepped down as president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), has firmly refused to withdraw his resignation. Tehsildars Across Punjab Call Off Strike After CM Mann's Warning
Tehsildars across Punjab called off their strike today after a warning from Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. On Monday, all tehsildars had taken collective leave in protest against the vigilance raids.
