Punjab Cabinet Raises Retirement Age for Professors and Doctors

Ajnala Court Sends Pappalpreet Singh to Four-Day Police Remand
Pappalpreet Singh, an associate of Amritpal Singh, MP from Khadoor Sahib in Punjab and head of the ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization, has been brought to Amritsar from Dibrugarh Jail. The Punjab Police has secured a four-day remand for further investigation.

MP Amritpal Singh Set to Be Released from Dibrugarh Jail, But Legal Troubles Persist
Amritpal Singh, Member of Parliament from Khadoor Sahib in Punjab and chief of the ‘Waris Punjab De’ organization, is expected to be released from Dibrugarh jail on April 22. The government has not extended his detention under the National Security Act (NSA) so far.
However, Amritpal’s legal troubles are far from over. Even after his release, he will continue to face charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and for an alleged attack on the Ajnala police station. Amritpal was transferred to Dibrugarh jail from Punjab under the NSA in April 2023.
He won the 2024 Lok S
