Asaram Bapu gets six-month bail from Rajasthan HC
BY Connect Newsroom, Oct 29, 2025 4:04 PM - REPORT AN ERRORAsaram Bapu, who is serving a life sentence in Jodhpur Central Jail in India on charges of sexual assault, has got a big relief from the Rajasthan High Court. The High Court has accepted Asaram Bapu's regular bail application for medical treatment.
After the hearing today, he has been granted interim bail for six months. Currently, Asaram is undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
Asaram had been struggling for regular bail for a long time. It is worth mentioning that in 2018, Asaram was sentenced to life imprisonment on charges of sexual assault. Based on the complaint of the victim, a case was registered against Asaram.
Jodhpur Police arrested Asaram from Indore on September 1, 2013. After a long trial that lasted for almost five years, Asaram was sentenced to life imprisonment.
