Illicit drug operation disrupted; drugs and gun recovered
BY Connect Newsroom, Sep 24, 2025 5:13 PM - REPORT AN ERRORA coordinated investigation led by the RCMP Federal Policing – Pacific Region (FPPR) Integrated Border Enforcement Team (IBET) with the assistance of partner law enforcement agencies, has resulted in the dismantling of a clandestine drug lab and the seizure of illicit drugs and a firearm.
On September 17, 2025, IBET officers with assistance from the Island District Emergency Response Team (ERT), Victoria Police Department’s Strike Force Unit, Sooke RCMP and the FPPR Clandestine Laboratory Enforcement and Response (CLEAR) team executed a search warrant at a property in the 3800 area of Trailhead Drive, Jordan River, British Columbia.
During the search, investigators located and dismantled a synthetic drug lab. A quantity of Methamphetamine, MDMA and a loaded handgun were seized from the property.
“Drug production and trafficking are often linked to broader criminal networks that pose serious risks to public safety. By dismantling this lab and seizing these items, we’ve not only removed dangerous substances from our community but also struck a blow against the organized crime groups that profit from them,” said Inspector Peter Koster, Officer in Charge of Air & Marine Border Integrity of FPPR.
