Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday called Prime Minister Modi and expressed grief over the 26 people killed in the Pahalgam terrorist attack and expressed full support to India in the fight against terrorism.

Putin said that those involved in the attack and those behind them should be brought to justice.

It is noteworthy that Putin is scheduled to visit India this year, but the information about the month or date of his visit has not yet been revealed. However, this will be Putin's first visit to India since the war with Ukraine began in 2022.

Earlier, in 2021, he had visited India for only 4 hours, during which 28 agreements were signed between the two countries. These included military and technical agreements.
