Trump warns Apple of tariffs

US President Donald Trump has warned Apple of tariffs. He said on Friday that if iPhones sold in the US are not made here, Apple will have to pay a 25 percent tariff.

Trump said in a post on Truth Social that I told Tim Cook a long time ago that he would have to manufacture iPhones sold in the US in the US instead of in India or any other country.

It is noteworthy that amid the tariff war between China and the US, Apple has increased its manufacturing base in India. The iPhone maker said that most of its smartphones sold in the US in the June quarter will come from India. Meanwhile, Trump has threatened to impose a 50 percent tariff on the European Union from June 1.
