Aamir Khan is celebrating Independence Day by making his latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par, more accessible to fans. He has announced a limited-time deal, reducing the YouTube rental price from ₹100 to just ₹50.
In a unique move, Aamir opted for a pay-per-view model on YouTube instead of the usual OTT platforms, aiming to encourage more viewers to experience the film in theaters. This decision has sparked mixed reactions among fans but has garnered praise from exhibitors.
Following its theatrical release in June, the film was initially available for rent on YouTube at ₹100. Now, to further broaden its audience, Aamir has halved the rental price. In a heartfelt video message, he urged fans to enjoy the film with their families over the Independence Day weekend, promoting the offer with the message: “This Independence Day weekend, watch Sitaare Zameen Par on YouTube for only ₹50.”
