Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi has voiced his support for Diljit Dosanjh amid the backlash over Sardaar Ji 3, which features Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. The film, skipping its India release due to rising India-Pakistan tensions following recent attacks, has prompted industry bodies like FWICE and AICWA to call for a ban on Dosanjh.

In an interview with a leading news channel, jasbir Jassi criticized what he described as “double standards,” pointing out that while Dosanjh is being targeted for working with a Pakistani actor, Indian music often features songs sung by Pakistani artists or inspired by their work. He questioned why only one artist and film are being singled out while similar content remains freely available on platforms like YouTube and Spotify.

Jassi argued that if there is a serious intent to boycott Pakistani contributions, it should be consistent and not selective. His comments follow singer Mika Singh’s criticism of Dosanjh for collaborating with Aamir in the film.
