Night Out The Weekend - A Night to Remember

BY Connect Newsroom, Jul 23, 2025 1:12 PM - REPORT AN ERROR

It was an early birthday surprise from my brother-in-law, sister, niece, and nephew—one that hit all the right notes, quite literally. They know my music taste too well, and yes, they knew "Save Your Tears" has been on loop in my world. So there I was, at BC Place in Vancouver, heart racing, ready to witness The Weekend live.

Over the years, his music has quietly claimed the top spot on my playlists. And sitting there, under the open lights, watching him walk on stage—masked, mysterious, magnetic—I felt like I was part of something truly unforgettable.

There wasn’t a single empty seat in sight. And yet, the moment he began (an hour after the scheduled start, but totally worth it), no one sat down. We stood, we sang, we swayed. From “Blinding Lights” to “Can’t Feel My Face”, to “Starboy” and “Out of Time”—every song hit home, every lyric louder than the last, with thousands of voices echoing in perfect harmony.

The stage production was flawless, surreal even. A sea of lights, visuals that stunned, and a voice that reminded us why we were all there. It wasn’t just a concert—it was a shared dream, and I’m still floating.
