Renowned Punjabi lyricist Gill Surjit died on Saturday. He had been ill for the past few months.

He was 74. Gill Surjit came to limelight after his song Shehar Patiale de munddae, Much Futt Gabhroo Nae Sohne became a huge hit in 1989.
