Bambukat Returns: Sequel Promises Bigger Laughs and Nostalgia

The much-appreciated Punjabi film Bambukat is officially getting a sequel. Bambukat 2 has now been formally announced and is gearing up for a theatrical release soon, sparking excitement across the entertainment space.
The sequel brings back a power-packed cast featuring Ammy Virk, Binnu Dhillon, Simi Chahal, and Gurpreet Ghuggi. The first Bambukat turned out to be a massive crowd-pleaser, winning hearts with its fresh storytelling, humour, and rooted charm, and it went on to become a blockbuster that still enjoys cult status among fans.
Helmed once again by director Pankaj Batra, Bambukat 2 is slated to hit cinemas on February 20, 2026. With the original creative team returning, expectations are already sky-high.
Adding to the buzz, the makers have unveiled the first-look posters, and they’re grabbing plenty of attention online. The visuals are quirky and imaginative, featuring Ammy Virk sharing the frame with Simi Chahal and Binnu Dhillon, instantly bringing back the nostalgia of the original film while teasing a brand-new chapter.
