Rhea Chakraborty, who first caught attention with her debut in Mere Dad Ki Maruti (2013), is finally returning to acting after a long hiatus. Following a series of early films, her career was abruptly disrupted after she became embroiled in controversy linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, leading to a sharp decline in work opportunities.
Now, Rhea is set to mark her comeback with Family Business, a corporate-family drama series coming on Netflix’s.
Her last film release was Chehre in 2021, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi. In the years since, she remained in the public eye as a host on MTV Roadies. With Family Business, Rhea returns to scripted acting after nearly five years.
Multiple probes into Rajput’s death found no evidence of wrongdoing by her, yet prolonged media scrutiny took a heavy toll on her professional journey.
