Popular Bollywood singer and rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh has landed in controversy over his song titled ‘Naagin’, nearly two years after its release. The track, which has crossed more than 14 million views online, has resurfaced following a complaint by a Bharatiya Janata Party leader from Jalandhar.

The complainant has written to Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav, seeking registration of a First Information Report against the artist. He has also demanded the immediate removal of the song from all digital platforms.

In his complaint, the BJP leader said he came across the song only recently and raised concerns that it is being streamed without any age restriction. He claimed the visuals, which show the singer dancing alongside women in revealing attire, are unsuitable for children and adolescents.

The complaint further alleges that the song undermines Punjabi culture and promotes content that could have a negative social impact. As of now, there has been no official confirmation from Punjab Police on whether an FIR has been registered.

Artists in the Punjabi and Hindi music industries have previously faced similar complaints, often reigniting debates around artistic freedom, digital content regulation, and cultural sensitivity. No response from Honey Singh or his representatives was available at the time of filing this report.
